![]() ![]() No difference with either FF3 or IE7, which was somewhat surprising considering that I would expected IE7 to surf slower. Have disabled DNS service, yielding only 17 running processes on boot. No help, and definitely cannot be a problem because it is enabled when running as an Admin, and runs fine as an Admin. installation on a fresh OS installation.Ģ) Already answered in the original post. Besides, I already reported that there are no extensions + a fresh FF3.0.2. ![]() It would certainly be appreciated if someone has a constructive suggestion (instead of the 'try a new profile' or 'disable your security software' which are not relevant to this problem).ġ) No difference in safe mode. Log out of the Limited User account, log in as an Administrator, and FF3 works normally. It will drop after the page finally loads. ![]() ![]() Likewise, the Firefox.exe process is almost always pushing 99% when trying to load a page. You can see Firefox "looking up and every other URL, and it seems to delay 4 to 5 seconds for EVERY URL, and no it does not really get any faster subsequently. The main culprit appears to be EXTREMELY SLOW DNS LOOKUPS. Tried a brand new Xp installation with FF3 being the first-and-only piece of software installed, and it performed identical as described. Only 18 running processes at bootup, all of which are MS and required for basic OS functionality. No a/v, no a/s, no firewalls (except XP built-in), etc. Yes, there is NO SECURITY SOFTWARE WHATSOEVER on this PC. Yes, tried creating new XP Limited User account(s) Yes, there are NO EXTENSIONS whatsoever It does, however, run fine when running under an Administrator account. ~To be more specific~, it does NOT work acceptable when running as a ~~LIMITED USER ACCOUNT~~ under XP. Posted a similar topic when FF3 first came out, decided to try FF 3.0.2 again to see if this was corrected yet.Īs many other people have posted, FF3 simply does not work for me. ![]()
